WINE TOURISM – THE FUTURE OF BC'S WINE REGIONS.

Research tells us that the potential for wine tourism in British Columbia is vast. The BCWI has taken a leadership role in the development of a new Wine Tourism Strategy.

We began by obtaining and committing funding and forming a partnership with the BC Agri-Tourism Alliance and hiring Strategex, an experienced boutique management-consulting firm that has particular experience in tourism, consumer products and branding.

Strategex’s assignment is to prepare independent recommendations to build BC’s wine tourism, taking into consideration feedback from stakeholders in the industry, best practices in wine tourism worldwide and BC’s overall tourism strategies. Their goal is to generate resources to promote the wine tourism brand and experience in all regions, and to form a partnership with Tourism British Columbia to execute the plan.
