Varietals: 49% of British Columbia’s wines are white. 51% are red. In the last acreage survey conducted, 97.1% of the yield was from vinifera grapes and 2.9% from hybrids.

Botrytis: A fungus that attacks grape skins. In favourable conditions, it dehydrates grapes, allowing the production of intense dessert wines.*

Hybrid: Grape varieties developed, typically by crossing European varieties with native North American varieties. The plant breeder’s objectives include developing varieties that ripen early, resist disease or are winter-hardy.*

Geology: Mt. Boucherie (near Kelowna), home to a number of wineries, is an extinct volcano.

Terroir: The Okanagan Valley has five officially recognized sub-regions — Kelowna, Naramata, Okanagan Falls, Golden Mile, and Black Sage/Osoyoos.

  Krāzē Legz Vineyard and Winery

Family owned and operated, Krāzē Legz Winery is a throw back to simpler times when the decade was roaring, the music was jazzed and dancing required Krāzē Legz.

Located in historic Kaleden, our family vineyard is nestled on steep slopes of shale and fossilized sandstone, warmed by the first light of day, and cooled by late evening lake breezes.

When full ripeness is achieved, our grapes are hand harvested, sorted and pressed.
To maintain maximum vineyard expression and purity of fruit our wine is small lot fermented and bottled.

Our passion is reflected in the high quality grapes we produce, the wines we craft and in the multitude of diverse people we call "good" friends.

So swirl the wine in your glass and watch the Krāzē Legz dance. Cheers!
