JoieFarm Winery was founded in 2004 and is located on the beautiful Naramata Bench in the central Okanagan Valley. Beginning from a tiny farm cooking school and guesthouse in the summer of 2003, to releasing our first small 800 case production in 2004, the winery grew to its now 15,000 case production by 2014. Joie (zh-wah) – means “joy” in French, expressing the pleasure and richness that good food and wine bring to life. JoieFarm is interested exclusively in the grape varieties of Alsace and Burgundy which excel in the cool-climate, desert landscape of the Okanagan Valley. Our naturally balanced wines have defined themselves by their freshness and intensity of fruit. We have been a leader in an emerging food and wine culture on the West Coast of Canada and it is our goal to promote and further define the harmony between food and wine in the Okanagan, as well as making sure the wines of the Okanagan Valley help bring to maturity West Coast cuisine, each defining the other, as they evolve. JoieFarm actively promotes the potential of aromatic white wines, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay as being the signature of our cool-climate winemaking region. We invite you to taste through our portfolio of award-winning wines in our new Tasting Room and savour wood-fired farm-to-table snacks in our licensed Picnic Area beneath the shaded orchard of Heritage Pear trees.
