Our brand name "OSAKE" has been well established as "Canada's first locally produced fresh premium sake" and its popularity has reached across the country and beyond. Artisan SakeKasu, fermented rice mash and nutritious bi-product, has quickly become a popular culinary ingredient among chefs and home cooking gurus. In 2009 Artisan SakeMaker has embarked upon a project to grow rice in BC making it the first sake rice production in Canadian history. The 2013 harvest yielded 5,000 bottles of BC/Canadian Sake made from organically grown sake rice in Abbotsford in the Fraser Valley.

Campbell's Gold Honey Farm & Meadery

Fraser Valley - Abbotsford / Aldergrove

Campbell's Gold Honey Farm & Meadery offers a variety of honey wines, including ancient Mead, which is believed to be the oldest known alcoholic beverage. Mead was first discovered by the Sumerians in Mesopotamia thousands of years ago. Enjoyed by the Egyptians, Mead gained real popularity in the mead halls of the Norsemen. The romantic tradition of offering mead to newlyweds led to the sweet potion being known as the "drink of love" in the middle ages. It is not uncommon for brides to use honey wines as wedding favours, or for a ceremonial toast to the bride and groom at the wedding. In addition to our traditional Mead, we produce the following ancient honey wines: Pyment (honey wine with grapes), Melomel (honey wine with a blend of fruit or berries), Metheglin (honey wine with spices), Cysor (honey wine with apple juice/cider). Most of the fruit and berries are grown organically on our farm. We have our own commercial apiary. The delightful aspect of honey wines is that we know that the honey used is pure, as bees if contaminated with any pesticide become disoriented and do not make it back to their hives. Honey wines are best stored cool and served chilled. Metheglins are delightful when mulled (warmed) during the cooler B.C. fall and winter seasons. We offer most of our wines in the 750 ml, 375 ml and 50 ml sized bottles.
